OVERVIEW
LEB program participants build lasting professional relationships and increase their sphere of influence as they are linked to a wide range of key community leaders, agencies, and organizations. This highly interactive program consists of presentations by community leaders and subject area experts, discussions, hands-on workshops, and tours that explore community and regional institutions and issues in the arts, economic development, education, environment, government, health and human services, science and technology, and social justice.
Participants examine key components of effective management and leadership and explore their own leadership styles. They enhance their professional toolkits through skills development, and build key peer relationships for support and resources. This six-month program encompasses a commitment to monthly (usually 2nd Fridays) training days, including an offsite one-day retreat in the East Bay.
LEB is open to all individuals who:

- Live or work in Albany, Berkeley, El Cerrito, Emeryville, Kensington, and Richmond
- Who work for local, regional, or federal agencies that serve this region
- Hold office or serve on commissions or
- Businesses that serve clients in these communities, or share regional interests.
